Attached Elementary Schools The university has two attached elementary schools, Daegu Attached Elementary School and Andong Attached Elementary School. The attached schools, the sites for the teaching practice of future teachers, make possible practice and research on elementary education. Elementary Education Training Center As an in-service educational institute for elementary school teachers, the elementary Education Training Center provides them with new professional knowledge and educational methods. The center offers in-service programs such as "English Languages Improvement and Methodology Training", "Computer Professional Development Program", "Training for Specialization in Teaching Gifted Children in Mathematics & Science", "Curriculum Development and Implementation Training", "Korean Music Training", and so on, to develop their competencies as elementary school teachers for the betterment of elementary education in Korea. R.O.T.C. R.O.T.C. aims to give military training to the R.O.T.C. candidate students so that they can have both literary and military accomplishments, and to provide students with a counseling service on their military affairs. It also recruits students who intend to receive a military scholarship or to serve as a military officer. It makes efforts to promote a sound academic atmosphere and to consolidate the relationship between the military and the students through seminars and visits to security areas.
